Cornish Associates and Nordblom Company Open the Nightingale Building

Providence, RI One of the first new construction apartment buildings in over a generation has opened in downtown. Nightingale has welcomed its first residents. The newly constructed $54 million, 143-unit apartment community is in the walkable downtown. In addition to five stories of apartments, Nightingale contains 11,500 s/f of ground-level retail space, residential amenities, the latest smart building technology, and original local artwork.

The Providence Portrait Project: Buff Chace’s Celebration of Community

In 2011, Buff Chace and the team at Cornish Associates began work on this project as a way to honor the individuals who had been working together in the downtown district since the early 1990’s. Buff enlisted the skills of photographer Jim Hooper to design and implement the project which consisted of portrait photography of 122 members of the downtown Providence community, an exhibit showcasing the portraits and a published book titled, The Providence Portrait Project.
